I’ve been reflecting on this recently, especially in the context of client experience.

We often talk about personalisation in service as a set of actions.
Remember the client’s name.
Recall their preferences.
Make tailored recommendations.

But I’m starting to see it differently.

Personal doesn’t come from what we do.
It comes from what the client feels.
Do they feel recognised, beyond just being a customer?
Do they feel understood, without having to over-explain?
Do they feel that this experience was shaped for them?

That shift changes everything.
Because when service feels personal, it no longer feels like a process.
It feels intentional. It feels considered. It feels human.
